Shaun Tan has managed to amaze and delight millions of people. Starting with a talk show programme, "Malaysia Hari lni", Shaun stunned the hosts and celebrity guest, singer Sharifah Aini, by reading her mind, live on air. Later, he demonstrated how he could influence metal to bend on their own by just concentrating and gently stroking the stem of spoons, and the prongs of forks. Shaun also effected bending in the homes of viewers, one of whom called in to report that the spoon that her son was using to eat from actually started bending during the showing of the programme!

Shaun later appeared in another talk show programme, "Face to Face", and demonstrated yet again how he could successfully read the mind of the host of another programme specially invited to act as the subject for the experiment. When that was over, Shaun again demonstrated how he could bend spoons by just gently stroking their stems, in the subject's hands! Again, remote bending occurred in viewers' homes as they watched the programme, with scores of callers reporting the phenomenon. At the roll of the credits, Shaun did another effect where he managed to send his thoughts to the same subject whose mind he had read earlier.
